Veronika Ilinskaya

Saturday 5 May, 7.30pm

Veronika Ilinskaya 1

Veronika Ilinskaya was a prizewinner at the Moscow Conservatoire and was subsequently invited to continue her studies at the Guildhall School of Music in London with Joan Havill. She has just completed a solo tour of China, whilst closer to home she has played at the Cadogan Hall in London, and has performed as soloist with the CBSO, with whom she has also recorded Scriabin’s Piano Concerto.

Veronika’s Bowerman Hall recital includes the complete set of Etudes-tableaux op.39 by Rachmaninov, described by Bryce Morrison as “ferocious and tormenting in its demands, designed for those whose outsize technical command is complemented by a born feel for turbulence and upheaval.”
